Our Story

Pet-Express Travel SpecialistSince 1978, Pet-Express has been trusted by families to safely relocate their pets throughout the USA and all over the world.

The pets that move with us are very special, and so are our values:

  • We love animals!

Most of our Pet Relocation Specialists bring their own pets to the office each day, and we understand the special role that pets play in our families.

Our drivers are professional pet handlers who handle dogs and cats gently and with a soothing voice.

  • We understand relocation;

Our Pet Relocation Specialists understand that a family relocation is a significant event, and we can offer a range of services and options that will make your pet’s relocation easier for you and your pet.

We are active within many key professional relocation organizations including Bay Area Mobility Management where we have served in Board and Committee roles. This enables us to remain current with changing trends across all facets of relocation, including corporate benefit programs, temporary housing, and other factors that will impact your relocation.We can then use this knowledge to offer a customized relocation solution to you and your pets.

  • We are leaders in our industry;

Pet-Express is a charter member of the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association (IPATA), where we have served in a number of roles including President and various Board & Committee positions.

We have partners in hundreds of locations throughout the USA and overseas, meaning that we can offer experienced handling and support services in almost any location.

We are registered professional pet handlers with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. All our procedures meet or exceed USDA Animal Welfare Act specifications.

As we work closely with airlines, we are accredited with the Transport Security Administration, a division of Homeland Security.

  • We care about our community

We support a number of “animal” organizations including the Guide Dogs and Canine Companions for Independence.

Both of these wonderful organizations support our community by breeding, raising and training dogs which are provided to people with disabilities or special needs. Both organizations operate without government funding, and can only survive with community and corporate support. Please see their websites for more information, and consider them when organizing your next community fund raiser.

Please see our Community page for details of other community organizations that we proudly support.
